The main objectives of the project are:

• Building capacities of government officials in select states and districts to meet citizen's information needs in key government departments for improved service delivery ( the “supply” side);
• Developing capacities of citizens and civil society to demand information and creating awareness in the identified states and districts (the “demand” side);
• Establishing institutional mechanisms at the national level for improved citizen-state interface; and
• Undertaking research, documentation, communications and advocacy, sharing global best practices and networking of practitioners.
